🔹 NEC 300.19 - 수직 전선관 내 도체 지지 (Supporting Conductors in Vertical Raceways)

 

300.19 Supporting Conductors in Vertical Raceways.

(A) Spacing Intervals — Maximum. 

(A) 최대 지지 간격 (Spacing Intervals — Maximum)

 

Conductors in vertical raceways shall be supported if the vertical rise exceeds the values in Table 300.19(A). 

 

수직 전선관(vertical raceways)에 설치된 도체는 **상승 높이(길이)**가 아래 **표 300.19(A)**에서 정한 값을 초과하면, 반드시 지지해 주어야 한다.

 

At least one support method shall be provided for each conductor at the top of the vertical raceway or as close to the top as practical. 

 

최소한 **맨 위쪽(또는 위쪽에 최대한 가깝게)**에 한 번은 지지해 줘야 한다.

 

Intermediate supports shall be provided as necessary to limit supported conductor lengths to not greater than those values specified in Table 300.19(A).

 

그 외에도 필요한 경우 중간에 지지를 추가해서, 각 도체가 스스로 감당하는 길이가 표 300.19(A)의 최대값을 넘지 않도록 해야 한다.

Steel wire armor cable shall be supported at the top of the riser with a cable support that clamps the steel wire armor. 

 

**스틸 와이어 아머 케이블(Steel wire armor cable)**의 경우,

• 꼭대기에서 케이블을 지지할 때는 아머를 클램핑하는 전용 지지 장치를 사용해야 한다.

 

A safety device shall be permitted at the lower end of the riser to hold the cable in the event there is slippage of the cable in the wire-armored cable support. 

 

• 그리고 만약 케이블이 미끄러질 경우를 대비해서, 아래쪽에는 **안전장치(safety device)**도 설치할 수 있다.

 

Additional wedge-type supports shall be permitted to relieve the strain on the equipment terminals caused by expansion of the cable under load.

 

• 추가적으로, 쐐기(wedge)형 지지 장치도 설치해서, 부하로 인해 케이블이 팽창할 때 단자(terminal)에 생기는 압력을 줄이는 것이 허용된다.

(B) Fire-Rated Cables and Conductors. 

 

(B) 방화 등급 케이블 (Fire-Rated Cables and Conductors)

 

Support methods and spacing intervals for fire-rated cables and conductors shall comply with any restrictions provided in the listing of the electrical circuit protective system used and in no case shall exceed the values in Table 300.19(A).

 

**방화 등급(Fire-rated)**이 있는 케이블과 도체는:

• 전기회로 보호시스템(Listed Electrical Circuit Protective System)에서 정해진 조건에 따라 설치되어야 하며,
• 어떤 경우에도 표 300.19(A)의 최대 간격을 초과해서는 안 된다.

🔸 쉽게 말하면:

1. 전선을 수직 파이프에 설치할 때, 너무 길게 매달려 있으면 무게 때문에 전선이 늘어지거나 파손될 수 있어요.
   그래서 일정 길이 이상이 되면 중간중간 지지대나 고정장치를 설치해야 해요.
2. 도체의 크기(kcmil)에 따라 허용되는 최대 지지 간격이 정해져 있고, 그 값은 **표 300.19(A)**에 있어요.
3. 꼭대기에는 무조건 한 번 고정해주고, 그 이후엔 전선이 지탱하는 길이가 허용값을 넘지 않도록 중간 지지대도 설치해야 해요.
4. 스틸 아머 케이블은 특별히 전용 지지 장치를 써야 하고, 아래쪽엔 미끄럼 방지를 위한 안전장치도 설치 가능해요.
