📘 NEC 517.31(A) 병원의 필수 전기 시스템 요건 (Requirements for the Essential Electrical System)

(A) Separate Branches.

Essential electrical systems for hospitals shall be comprised of three separate branches capable of supplying a limited amount of lighting and power service that is considered essential for life safety and effective hospital operation during the time the normal electrical service is interrupted for any reason.

The three branches are life safety, critical, and equipment.

🔌 (A) 분리된 계통 (Separate Branches)

🏥 병원의 필수 전기 시스템(essential electrical system)은
정전 시에도 생명 안전과 병원 운영에 필요한 최소한의 조명과 전력을
공급할 수 있도록 구성되어야 해요.

✅ 이 시스템은 3개의 분리된 계통(branch) 으로 나뉘어야 합니다:

1. 💡 생명안전 계통 (Life Safety Branch)
   → 환자의 안전을 위한 경보, 비상등, 탈출 조명 등
2. 🩺 중요 계통 (Critical Branch)
   → 중요한 의료 장비나 병원 운영에 필요한 시스템
3. ⚙️ 장비 계통 (Equipment Branch)
   → 엘리베이터, 환기 시스템, 냉난방 등 병원 설비 운영을 위한 전력

The division between the branches shall occur at transfer switches where more than one transfer switch is required

🔀 이 세 가지 계통은 전이 스위치(transfer switch) 에서 분리되어야 하며,
하나 이상의 전이 스위치가 필요한 경우에는 그 스위치들에서 구분되어야 합니다.
